As of Thursday, black market traders in Lebanon are selling the US Dollar for 17,250 LBP and buying it for 17,300 LBP. The current official rate still stands at $1 = 1,500 L.L. and the bank rate at $1 = 3,900 L.L. Lebanon is currently experiencing hyperinflation as a result of an ongoing economic crisis since the end of 2019. Lebanon's Central Bank has set the new bank withdrawal rate from dollar accounts at LBP 8,000 per 1 US dollar instead of LBP 3,900 per dollar.
The Lebanese lira is currently trading on the market at LBP 25,000 per dollar.
