Oman’s share index ends marginally higher

Muscat: The MSM index closed at 3,771.89 points, up 0.54 per cent from the previous close.The Sharia Index ended up by 0.09 per cent at 524.78. Oman Oil Marketing, up 5.26 per cent was the top gainer while ACWA Power, down 19.8 per cent, was the top loser. HSBC was active in terms of the number of shares traded and Bank Muscat was the most active in terms of turnover.A total number of 620 trades were executed during the day's trading session, generating a turnover of OMR3.0 million, with more than 14.4 million shares changing hands.
