Oman’s share index ends marginally lower

Muscat: The MSM index closed at 3, 714. 49 points, down 0. 07 per cent from the previous close. The Sharia Index ended down 0.

21 per cent at 529. 66 points. Voltamp Energy, up 5. 56 per cent, was the top gainer while Oman & Emirates Holding, down 4. 17 per cent, was the top loser. Shares of Al Anwar Investment were the most active in terms of the number of shares traded while Sovereign Sukuk Bond was most active in terms of turnover. A total number of 633 trades were executed during the day's trading session, generating a turnover of OMR4 million, with more than 13. 4 million shares changing hands. Out of 46 traded stocks, 9 advanced, 14 declined and 23 remained unchanged.
