Oman’s share index ends marginally lower

Muscat: The MSM index closed at 3,701.19 points, down 0.14 per cent from the previous close.The Sharia Index ended up 0.19 per cent at 519.99 points. Al Maha Ceramics, up 2.46 per cent was the top gainer while Oman Fisheries, down 4.44 per cent, was the top loser. Bank Nizwa was the most active in terms of the number of shares traded and also was the most active in terms of turnover.A total number of 497 trades were executed during the day's trading session, generating a turnover of OMR1.2 million, with more than 7.3 million shares changing hands. Out of 36 traded stocks, 4 advanced, 13 declined and 19 remained unchanged. At the session close, foreign investors were net sellers for OMR176,000 while
