Saudi Re's profits up 4% in Q1-22 interim financials

Riyadh – Mubasher: The net profits before Zakat of Saudi Reinsurance Company (Saudi Re) rose by 3.95% to SAR 19.58 million in the first quarter (Q1) of 2022, compared to AED 18.83 million in the year-ago period.

The company's net written premiums (NWP) amounted to SAR 586.27 million in Q1-22, down 26.01% year-on-year (YoY) from SAR 792.37 million, according to the company's interim financials.

The earnings per share (EPS) settled at SAR 0.17 in the first three months (3M) of 2022, versus SAR 0.18 in the same period of 2021.

It is noteworthy to mention that in 2021, Saudi Re logged net profits before Zakat worth SAR 53.31 million, a plunge of 12.15% from SAR 60.69 million in 2020.
