UAE stock markets close Monday in red zone

The UAE stock markets have ended Monday's trading session in the red zone. The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went down by 0.11% to close Monday's trading session at 2,848 points. A total of 115.491 million shares were traded through 2,510 transactions valued at AED 175.465 million. Takaful Emarat - Insurance Co led the rising stocks with 2.47%, while Emirates Refreshments topped the losing stocks with 9.7%. As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index inched down 0.5% to settle at 6,616 points by the end of Monday's session. Turnover amounted to AED 1.192 billion after 173.631 million shares had been exchanged through 3,234 transactions. National Bank of Umm Al Qaiwain came on top of the red zone with 8.38%, while Sudatel Telecommunications Group Company Limited headed the green zone with 3.39%.
