UAE stock markets close Thursday on positive note

The UAE stock markets have ended Thursday’s trading session in the green zone. The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went up 0.37% to close Thursday at 2,842.41 points. A total of 171.31 million shares were traded through 2,517 transactions valued at AED 245.27 million.

Al Salam Bank – Bahrain topped the rising stocks with 2.77%, while Emirates Refreshments led the losing stocks with 5.26%. As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index inched up 0.07% to end Thursday at 2,716.13 points. Turnover amounted to AED 1.46 billion after 242.79 million shares had been exchanged through 4,983 transactions. Ras Al Khaimah Cement Investment Company headed the green zone with 15%, while Gulf Cement Company came on top of the red zone with 9.92%. more...
