UAE stock markets maintain upward performance on Monday

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have maintained the upward performance by the end of Monday's trading session.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) inched up by 0.91% or 24.38 points to close Monday's trading session at 2,698.68 points.

A total of 321.96 million shares were traded through 5,752 transactions valued at AED 425.04 million.

The market cap value increased by AED 3.1 billion to AED 357.88 billion, compared to AED 354.78 billion during the previous session.

Ajman Bank headed the green zone with 3.37%, while Depa topped the red zone with 4.8%.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index rose by around 1.19% or 61.37 points to settle at 5,237.48 points by the end of Monday's session.

Turnover amounted to AED 575.09 million after 134.05 million shares had been exchanged through 4,625 transactions.

The market cap value jumped by AED 5.11 billion to AED 747.88 billion from AED 742.77 billion during the previous session.

RAK Ceramics came on top of the rising stocks with 6.25%, while Methaq Takaful Insurance led the losing stocks with 2.95%.
