DFM ends Sunday down; market cap loses AED 2.61bn

Dubai - Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) decreased by 1.05% or 24.15 points to settle at 2,258.55 points by the end of Sunday's trading session, unlike its upward performance on Thursday, 3 September.

A total of 303.73 million shares were traded through 3,378 transactions valued at AED 179.41 million.

The market cap value declined by AED 2.61 billion to AED 313.76 billion, compared to AED 316.37 billion during the previous session.

The investment and financial services sector led the decliners with 2.15%, while the consumer staples segment topped the risers with 3.94%.

Arabtec Holding headed the losing stocks with 4.89%, while Al Madina for Finance and Investment came on top of the rising stocks with 15%.
