DFM ends Thursday up; market cap gains AED 1.56bn

Dubai - Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) increased by 1.02% or 23.1 points to end Thursday's trading session at 2,282.70 points, maintaining its upward performance on Wednesday, 2 August.

A total of 428.09 million shares were traded through 5,463 transactions valued at AED 311.10 million.

The market cap value rose by AED 1.56 billion to AED 316.37 billion, compared to AED 314.81 billion during the previous session.

The consumer staples sector led the risers with 2.02%, followed by the real estate segment with 1.89%.

Ithmaar Holding headed the rising stocks with 14.87%, while Dar Al Takaful came on top of the losing stocks with 4.96%.
