DFM maintains downward performance on Tuesday

Dubai - Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) edged down by 0.72% or 14.98 points to end Tuesday's trading session at 2,052.76 points, maintaining its negative performance on Monday, 13 July.





A total of 350.27 million shares were traded through 3,629 transactions at a total value of AED 297.77 million.





The market cap value dropped by around AED 2.04 billion to AED 291.98 billion, compared to AED 294.02 billion during the previous session.





The banks sector led the decliners with 1.16%, while the services segment came on top of the risers with 1.22%.





Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD) headed the losing stocks with 4.86%, while Arabtec Holding topped the rising stocks with 7.31%.





 Amanat Holdings was the most active stock with 104.75 million shares traded at AED 92.50 million.





Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) led the losing blue chips with 0.51%, while Damac Properties topped the rising blue chips with 2.23%.
