Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid issues decree to appoint DIFC’s higher board
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, has issued a decree to appoint the higher board of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
The appointment of Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Deputy Ruler of Dubai and President of the DIFC, as the Chairman of the DIFC's higher board was renewed, according to a press release on Sunday.
The decree also confirmed the positions of other main members, comprising the governor of the DIFC, the chairman of the board of the DIFC Authority, the chairman of the Dubai Financial Services Authority's board, and the chief justice of the DIFC Courts.
On the other hand, the decree has cancelled the appointment of the other existing members of the higher board, as the chairman is entitled to add new members.
