UAE stock markets close Thursday on varied note

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have witnessed a mixed performance by the end of Thursday's trading session.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went up by 0.28% or 6.80 points to close Thursday's trading session at 2,420 points.

Turnover amounted to AED 240.59 million after 279.62 million shares had been traded through 3,910 transactions.

Ajman Bank led the rising stocks with 3.4%, while Al Madina for Finance and Investment topped the losing stocks with 4.5%.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index inched down 0.34% or 17.2 points to settle at 4,971.93 points by the end of Thursday's session.

A total of 103.95 million shares were exchanged through 3,409 transactions valued at AED 426.73 million.

Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries (Julphar) came on top of the green zone with 10.29%, while National Takaful Co (Watania) led the red zone with 5%.
