A 26-year-old Arab man was apprehended by the Dubai Public Prosecution for forging credentials by impersonating his victim's identity in Dubai.

During investigations the victim testified that he was introduced to the defendant back in 2016.

The victim was in need of a bank loan at that time.

The defendant claimed he could help facilitate the procedures and asked for the victim's original ID and copies of other official documents.

Later the defendant began to give excuses to delay the process.

Few months later the victim was surprised to receive calls from different banks and the police for delayed credit card payments and bounced cheques.

Apparently the defendant managed to forge the victim's signature, using the original ID that was entrusted to him.
