Bahrain committed to protect the health and safety of its human resources

The Kingdom's efforts to combat the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, not only through diagnosis, care and treatment, but also through the provision of vaccines, out of its belief in the need to protect the health and safety of its human resources, its main assets. Indeed, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's directives to launch the national vaccination campaign confirm the top priority given to the health and safety of the citizens under all circumstances. Recently, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, announced, while chairing the Government Executive Committee meeting, that, in line with HM the King's directives, a safe vaccine would be provided free of charge to all citizens and residents within the kingdom. During its meeting, the Executive Committee discussed plans and preparations aimed at providing a COVID-19 vaccine free of charge across 27 medical centres. These plans include vaccinating those over the age of 18, with a capacity of vaccinating five thousand individuals per day, and working to expand this programme to reach ten thousand vaccinations per day.
