Bahrain hosts international forum ‘COVID-19’s impact on Mental Health’

The Kingdom of Bahrain is hosting an international virtual forum entitled “COVID-19 impact on Mental Health: Rebuilding Mental Health towards economic and social recovery”, with the participation of speakers from World Health Organization (WHO), United Nation Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund – (UNICEF), the International Labor Organization (ILO), and the California State University, East Bay. The Forum is organized by “Umatter” campaign, which was launched recently in Bahrain under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Hisham bin Abdul Rahman Al Khalifa, Governor of the Capital Governorate. Targeting more than 200 participants, the forum is for individuals, public sector and private organizations, consisting of those working in health care, financial, education, and Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) workers/associations, Mental Health Practitioners,  among others who are interested in understanding the best global practices for improving mental health for all, given the exceptional circumstances imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic on many aspects of public life in Bahrain, the region and the world. “COVID-19 impact on Mental Health: Rebuilding Mental Health towards economic and social recovery” forum will draw up a clear road map for post-pandemic recovery for the organizations, and businesses, helping their employees to cope psychologically and
