Egypt to offer coronavirus vaccines to vital economic sectors’ workers as leader warns of third wave

In a bid to keep the economy humming along despite the coronavirus pandemic, authorities in Egypt are planning to start vaccinating workers in tourism, industrial and other vital economic sectors while continuing to vaccinate the elderly and patients with chronic diseases, according to a health ministry statement.

The government would soon offer, upon request, to vaccinate Egyptians planning to travel abroad along with those traveling to Saudi Arabia to perform the pilgrimage, or Hajj, later this year, the statement quoted Health Minister Hala Zayed as also saying.
