Egypt’s Vision 2030 updated in line with changes ensued from COVID-19, success achieved until present

CAIRO - 11 January 2021: Egypt has updated its Vision 2030 in line with social and economic developments, following the country's success in implementingitseconomic reform programme, and the changes caused by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
As part of this, Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala El-Said held meetings that included several Egyptian, along with international experts and specialists. During the meetings, the participants reviewed the most important ideas and visions that should be included in the strategy after its updating.
The most recent of these meetings included: Mahmoud Mohieldin, Executive Director of the World Bank ; Ahmed Kamali, Deputy Minister of Planning and Economic Development; Adel Ragab, Director of the Centre for Economic Studies; and Mazen Hassan, Director of the Centre for Political Studies at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo
