CAIRO – 4 May 2020: The Cabinet issued decisions regarding Sham El-Nessim celebrations in the governorates to prevent crowdedness in streets and public places, to avoid the spread of the Coronavirus and preserve the safety of citizens.

The decisions also stressed the necessity of committing to the pre-set occupancy rates at restaurants and cafes, committing to social distancing, the continued closure of beaches across the republic, and the closure of public parks.

In Alexandria governorate, the executive authorities implemented these measures on all beaches and parks.

Alexandria governorate continues to close beaches and tighten control over them to prevent gatherings and congestion on Sham El-Nessim vacation, in order to preserve the safety of citizens.
