Producing COVID-19 vaccine locally part of Egypt’s plan: Health Min

CAIRO – 26 November 2020: The Ministry of Health and Population said that the ministry plans to start a new production line to manufacture COVID19 vaccine it's proven effective.

 

“We plan to cooperate with the World Health Organization and the Sinovac Manufacturing Company as soon as the final results of the Chinese vaccine appear,” according to a statement by the ministry.  

 

The statement added, “development works to raise efficiency of fever and chest hospitals have been finalized, besides developing gas networks, providing medical devices at hospitals in addition to health programs and presidential initiatives to provide the best health service to citizens.

 

The statement further drew attention to the continuation of the follow-up of the health status of people with chronic diseases, in the context of improving the public health of citizens in the face of the Corona virus, especially as those with chronic diseases like (blood pressure, heart diseases, diabetes), and those with Chest diseases, and pregnant women, are the most vulnerable groups to infection with the corona virus.
