GCC Covid-19 update: UAE registers 239 cases; 1,402 infections recorded in Saudi

A total of 239 new Covid-19 cases and 354 additional recoveries were registered on August 6, the Ministry of Health and Prevention confirmed.

The infection count has risen to 61,845, while 55,739 people have now overcome the infection.

With one additional demise, the death toll has scaled to 354.

Saudi Arabia

The kingdom recorded 1,402 Covid-19 infections, 35 deaths and 1,775 recoveries in the last 24 hours.

Makkah recorded the highest number of cases, with 249 infections.

The death toll has now climbed to 3,055, while the infection count tallies 284,226.
