Think about it: the biggest challenge in global leadership is also the most urgent, leading the massive global recovery from Covid. If the hole that Covid has dug for us in the rich countries is deep, then the problem in emerging markets - that vast swath of our world where 85% of the people live - should be flashing a red alert. Over 100 million people fell below the poverty line in 2020.
