Jordanian doctor calls for tightening health restrictions to avoid third wave of COVID-19 – Roya News English

Saturday, a specialist in chest diseases, critical care and sleep diseases, Mohammad Hassan al-Tarawneh called on the government to tighten health restrictions in order to avoid a third wave of COVID-19 in Jordan.

In a statement to Roya, Tarawneh warned of citizens' lack of commitment to coronavirus precautionary measures which include social distancing and wearing face masks.

Tarawneh stressed that the percentage of vaccinated individuals is not high enough to have achieved herd immunity.
