Preparations for Ramadan in Jordan come amid a surge in coronavirus deaths that started two months ago, prompting authorities to impose an all-day curfew on Fridays. This curfew will remain in place for Ramadan, alongside lockdown hours for the rest of the week from 7pm to 6am.
