Kuwait reports new cases of COVID-19 variant first identified in India
A number of people in Kuwait are infected with the Delta variant of coronavirus, which was first discovered in India, the Kuwait News Agency reported on Monday.
In the statement, the spokesman said that the ministry is conducting genetic examinations for the virus on regular basis to study patterns of the strains' spread in Kuwait and contribute to global efforts to combat the virus.
The Delta strain has been detected in more than 62 countries throughout the world.
