Hefty fines if you violate these COVID rules in Oman | Times of Oman
Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has revised several fines related to Covid-19 violations in the Sultanate. A decision issued by the ROP on Sunday replaces several clauses in an earlier decision issued by the Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19. According to Article 1 of the decision issued by the ROP, earlier fines listed out in clauses 1, 2, 7 and 8 will be replaced with the following: 2- OMR 300 fine for non-compliance with the instructions for home or institutional quarantine decided by the competent authorities 7- A fine of OMR 3, 000 with one month closure for non-compliance by commercial complexes, shops and private establishments with measures, conditions and controls decided by the Supreme Committee and the competent authorities. 8- OMR 300 fine for refraining from wearing a tracking bracelet or removing or destroying the bracelet, or not returning it to the competent authorities. The second article of the decision added the following clause, numbered 10: 10- A fine of OMR 300 for failure to register in the Tarassud system according to the established controls and procedures.
