Record numbers in ICUs in a day: Minister of Health
Muscat: A record 190 patients have been admitted in the intensive care units (ICUs) in a day, Dr. Ahmed Al Saidi, Minister of Health, and member of the Supreme Committee on COVID-19, said on Thursday.But the rising numbers do not mean that the health institutions have failed in their duty, cases are rising all over the world, overburdening the health sector, he said.Al Saidi said that some people still continue to hold parties at their farms or in closed places, or gather at beaches or public places despite orders not to do so.He called on all government and private agencies to adhere to the decisions and guidelines issued by the Supreme Committee to limit the spread of the virus.
