COVID-19: Pakistan proposes penalty for refusing vaccine

The Punjab government has in principle decided to block the mobile phone SIM cards of those who refuse to get vaccinated.

The measure is one of several proposed by the provincial and federal governments to ensure maximum number of vaccinations across the country.

The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid. It was decided that a recommendation would be sent to the Chief Minister and Governor for necessary action on the proposal.
