Emergency first aid center opens inside Grand Mosque in Makkah

Okaz/Saudi GazetteMAKKAH — An emergency first aid service center named “Haram Emergency Center 1” was opened on Sunday inside the Grand Mosque in Makkah to provide emergency health services to all visitors and pilgrims around the clock.The center is equipped with all modern medical equipment that contributes to quick intervention in the event of any emergency situation inside the Grand Mosque.An integrated medical team has been provided to deal with all cases according to the best practices and standards to ensure the safety and health of visitors to Islam's holiest shrine.Dr. Wael Eid, executive director of Ajyad Emergency Hospital and supervisor of the Haram emergency centers, emphasized the effective role of the centers to serve pilgrims and visitors to the Grand Mosque throughout the year. He said the emergency centers are operating in the passages of the Grand Mosque 24 hours a day, and seven days a week.
