Health Ministry: Number of insured persons rise to 11.5 mln in 2022
The Ministry of Health revealed that the number of insured persons in the Kingdom increased from three million in 2011 to 11.5 million in 2022, including nine million visitors.
This came during a meeting with Minister of Health Fahd Al-Jalajel on June 1 with investors in the healthcare services field, Saudi Press Agency reported.
The meeting reviewed developments in the Health Transformation Program, the Saudization Program in the health sector, and private sector participation projects, in order to provide the best health services to citizens and residents.
The Ministry of Health said that this is the minister's 18th meeting with such investors, under which 117 initiatives were jointly implemented.
