WHO, KSrelief hold training workshop for infection control in Aden’s coronavirus quarantine facilities

Saudi Gazette reportADEN — The World Health Organization, in cooperation with the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) on Monday held a training workshop on infection control in coronavirus quarantine centers in Yemen's Aden governorate.The three-day course, which is being carried out in coordination with the medical services department of the Yemeni health ministry, aims to train 25 staff of the quarantine facilities in Aden with theoretical and practical skills introducing the principles of infection control, methods of transmission, how to prevent it, procedures and precautions necessary in the facilities and means of personal protection. Additionally, the course will help them identify epidemic and contagious diseases and their sources, how to limit their spread and how to get rid of medical waste in healthy and proper ways to preserve the health staff, the environment and society in general.
