Ajman to close cafes and restaurants by 11pm to curb the spread of coronavirus

The Ajman Crisis, Disaster and Emergency Management said, "Within the framework of the efforts exerted to combat the spread of the coronavirus, authorities in the Emirate of Ajman issued a decision to amend the working hours of cafes and restaurants in the emirate, so that the closure will be at 11pm, starting from Tuesday, February 23." According to the management, restaurants selling snacks, cafeterias and restaurants providing delivery service are exempted from the decision. The authorities urged all owners of restaurants and cafes to adhere to the decision and to take all preventive and precautionary measures, stressing that inspection team will deal firmly with the violators. Recently, Ajman adopted a new package of preventive measures to curb the spread of COVID-19 and support the UAE government's efforts to enhance the quality of life and maintain the safety and health of community members. The new preventive measures include ban music concerts and other events, abiding by the presence of no more than 10 people in wedding ceremonies and other family events.
