UAE: Saliva Covid-19 tests instead of PCR for some patients

Health authorities in Abu Dhabi have specified four categories of residents who can opt for a saliva test instead of the nasal test to detect Covid-19.The four categories are:Children aged below 12 years.Those who have been vaccinated against Covid-19.Doctors and officials said saliva testing is a reliable alternative to detecting the virus and is less invasive.
