UAE announces 1,083 COVID-19 cases

The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Wednesday announced a record 1,083 COVID-19 cases in addition to 970 recoveries. One death was also reported.

This is the highest number of cases reported so far and the previous record was 1,007.

Yesterday, it was announced that UAE's coronavirus cases are declined by 21 per cent in the July-August period. The country ranked first in testing its residents for coronavirus in these two months, a top government official said. The UAE also witnessed its coronavirus mortality rate go down by 5.7 per cent.

In excess of around 103,100 new coronavirus tests were completed in the UAE and total tests done since the COVID-19 outbreak reach 9 million,
