Bahrain’s Tubli wastewater treatment plant expansion on track – MEP MiddleEast

The Kingdom of Bahrain's Works, Municipal Affairs, and Urban Planning Minister Esam bin Abdullah Khalaf has inspected ongoing works at the Tubli wastewater treatment plant expansion project, and has emphasised the importance for the project to continue on track.

Implementation works are currently progressing on Phase 4 of the expansion project, which aims to accommodate the increased flow of waste water, according to the state-run Bahrain News Agency.

Once complete, the Tubli wastewater treatment plant will be able to increase its average daily flow capacity of 200,000 m3/day to reach a full average daily flow capacity of 400,000 m3/day.

The project also includes a “collection room” for wastewater streams 21m underground and a pump 25.1m underground that will receive wastewater flows from the collection room.
