Egypt’s engineering industries exports rise to $1.11B during 5 months

CAIRO – 4 January 2021: The Engineering Industries Export Council announced that exports of the sector during the first five months of the fiscal year 2020/2021 increased by 6 percent to reach $ 1.11 billion, compared to $ 1.05 billion in the same period of the previous fiscal year 2019/2020.

 

The council added in a statement, Monday, that the exports of engineering industries witnessed a rise in November 2020, recording $229.6 million, compared to $187.3 million in the same month 2019, which confirms the council's vision to move exports towards an upward trend during the coming period.

 

Regarding the engineering sectors whose exports have increased, the Export Council revealed that automobile components rose by 18 percent, cables by 21 percent, household appliances by 21 percent, and transportation by 72 percent.

 

Regarding the most prominent countries that received exports of Egyptian engineering industries, the Council announced that these countries where Egyptian exports increased in Europe are: "The United Kingdom - France - Germany - Spain", and in Asia: "Saudi Arabia - Iraq - Kuwait", and in Africa: " Algeria - Morocco - Sudan - Kenya.
