Saudi industry ministry names Faisal Al-Bedah as SEDA secretary general

Saudi Arabia's Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Al-Khorayef, appointed Faisal Al-Bedah as the secretary general for Saudi Exports Development Authority (SEDA), according a statement.

Al-Bedah, who will replace Saleh Al-Salami, worked as secretary general for the Logistics Services Committee, and as an advisor to the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs. Additionally, he was the Deputy Governor for Trade Facilitation at Saudi Customs.

Al-Bedah has MBA in finance from Prince Sultan University and BA in accounting from King Saud University.

CAIRO: The UAE was the largest importer of non-oil goods from Egypt in 2020, according to the latest official government figures.

The country imported Egyptian products to the value of $2.9 billion, said a report by Egypt's Information and Decision Support Center.

The figure made the UAE Egypt's biggest importer of non-oil goods, followed by Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the US, and Italy, together accounting for approximately 35 percent of Egyptian exports last year.
