Saudi’s Al Yamamah Steel announces updates on wind power systems plant
Riyadh – Al Yamamah Steel Industries Company announced the completion of design works and considering the contractors’ bids to execute civil and electromechanical works of the Al Yamamah Wind Power Systems Factory.
The facility is expected to be completed during the second quarter (Q2) of 2023, according to a bourse filing on Monday.
Al Yamamah Steel noted that no financial impact will reflect on the company’s position due to the above announcements.
The company added that the wind power project will be executed in accordance with international standards and with the requirements for supplying iron towers that are necessary for wind energy systems.
Earlier this year, the firm said the estimated cost of the project was SAR 293 million.
