COVID-19: Six new vaccine categories in the UAE – which one are you?

Dubai: A new 'Green Pass' protocol has been approved by the UAE's Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP), which will help people in the UAE access services and facilitate safe movement. The announcement was made by the Ministry on June 7, providing details of the new Green Pass protocol. The Green Pass will use the Al Hosn app to show vaccination status and as well as the validity of the PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) test validity. According to the announcement, MOHAP has allowed federal and local authorities to determine the use of Al Hosn app according to their individual needs and procedures, to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all citizens, residents, and visitors. The Al Hosn colour-coding system has been updated as per the Green Pass protocol. The app will now show three different types of statuses: Depending on your vaccination status as well as your PCR test result, the app will reflect the status based on this new protocol. For those individuals who are fully vaccinated - that is they have received their second dose at least 28 days earlier or are volunteers in vaccine trials - a negative PCR test result will lead to a green
