Bahrain Science Centre for SDGs and AIESEC Bahrain sign agreement

The Bahrain Scientific Centre for Sustainable Development Goals (BSC for SDGs) at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs has signed an agreement with AIESEC on the sponsorship of its “Ghaya” initiative. AIESEC Bahrain’s Board of Directors Chairman, Omar Abdulaziz Ayoob, and Bahrain Science Centre for SDGs Director, Latifa Mutaywea, signed the agreement. The agreement aims to enhance joint cooperation between the Bahrain Science Centre for SDGs and AIESEC international in supporting the “Ghaya” programme, in addition to providing opportunities for young people to engage in sustainable projects that benefit the social, economic and environmental aspects and contribute to achieving sustainable development goals. The agreement affirms the importance of the role of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs and the Bahrain Science Centre for SDGs in creating the appropriate atmosphere and operating partnerships for the benefit of youth and institutions between all government and private sectors, in order to provide a fair and open competitive environment. The “Ghaya” initiative is a training development programme that gives young people in Bahrain training opportunities to gain experience in the field of social entrepreneurship.
