Abdul Latif Jameel Energy acquires 58 desalination plants in Egypt

Jeddah- and Dubai-headquartered independent power producer Abdul Latif Jameel Energy – which offers operations and maintenance services in the renewable energy and water infrastructure sectors, including solar, wind, environmental solutions, desalination, water, and waste water treatment – has acquired a major desalination services company in Egypt. Abdul Latif Jameel Energy's dedicated water solutions unit, Almar Water Solutions, as well as HA Utilities BV (HAU), which is part of the Hassan Allam Holding (HAH) firm, have finalised a deal with the Ridgewood Group, taking ownership of assets with a total desalination capacity of 82,440m3 of drinking water per day, from 58 desalination plants located across Egypt.The deal was closed under the joint venture (JV) between Almar Water Solutions and HA Utilities BV, announced
