Egypt buys 230,000 tonnes of Russian wheat

Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) has purchased 230,000 tonnes of Russian wheat in an international tender on Tuesday, Reuters reported.





The shipment is expected to take place between 8 and 18 August.





It is worth mentioning that the Egyptian Holding Company for Silos and Storage has received more than 3.5 million tonnes of wheat from local farmers since the beginning of this season which started in mid-April, the company's chairman Sherif Bassily previously told Mubasher





The state-owned company aims to receive a total of 3.6 million tonnes of local wheat until mid-July, Bassily revealed.
