Brax: No lifting of fuel subsidy

NNA – Member of the Syndicate of Petrol Station Owners in Lebanon, George al-Brax, welcomed in a phone call with the National News Agency today, the announcement by the General Directorate of Oil that oil installations in Tripoli and Zahrani have delivered 20 million liters of diesel to the local market this week, confirming that “it will secure the needs of the market next week."

In this connection, Brax demanded the Central Bank of Lebanon to "expedite the opening of credits and giving approvals to the ships at sea, so that the needs of the local market of gasoline and diesel are secured," noting that "diesel oil is available on ships at sea, but the bank should not be late in opening the credits so that the scene witnessed in the past days of citizens rushing to petrol stations will not be repeated.”
