Nafath Renewable Energy and bp Oman conclude the fourth cycle of “Mustadeem” programme

In partnership with bp Oman and in collaboration with Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, Nafath Renewable Energy held a closing ceremony marking the conclusion of the fourth cycle of the ‘Mustadeem 4’ programme, held under the patronage of HE Saud Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources. The programme aimed to support the agriculture sector in Oman by providing independent solar energy systems for 54 Omani farms and greenhouses in the Wilayats of Al Suwaiq and Al Khaburah; areas that were previously affected by Cyclone Shaheen.

The programme offered 30 job and training opportunities for different specialisations, and included 10 training sessions and workshops, benefiting 800 university and college students as well as the community. The workshops raised their awareness about renewable energy and agricultural sustainability. The programme also created three partnership opportunities with Omani small and medium enterprises (SMEs) contributing to the national in-country value.

Dr. Masaod Al Azri from Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources further commented, “This partnership between the ministry, bp Oman and Nafath Renewable Energy served as a bridge to achieve the goals of Oman Vision 2040, reinforced by the determination to protect our natural environment and develop our renewable energy
