VAT at zero per cent for these food commodities in Oman | Times of Oman

Muscat: The Tax Authority has issued a decision regarding the determination of food commodities subject to value-added tax at a rate of zero per cent. The list includes the following commodities: 1- Fresh or chilled vegetables (such as tomatoes, onions, potatoes, green leafy vegetables, carrots, cucumbers and eggplant)2- Legumes3- Fruits4- Spices5- Vegetable oils6- Fresh or chilled fish7. Eggs8- Chilled or fresh poultry9 - Fresh or chilled meat10- Dairy and cheese11- Grains12- Flour13- Tea and coffee14- Salt and sugar15- Juices with no added sugar or other sweetening materialsArticle 2 states that Resolution No. 2/2021 referred to shall be repealed and all decisions that contradict this decision or its provisions shall be rolled back.
