GECF to focus on energy transition in lecture

The Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) will organise its next public lecture on "The Energy Transformation: the Way Forward“ to be delivered by Francesco La Camera, Director General of the International Renewable Energy Agency (Irena).

The event will take place on October 20 at 2pm Doha time.

This online lecture by La Camera will cover the expected quintupling of renewable energy in the global energy mix from current levels to 10% by 2050. The GECF Secretary General Yury Sentyurin will present the Member Countries' view and contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
