SirajPower to construct 1MWp solar carport for Lulu Group hypermarket – MEP MiddleEast

The UAE’s leading distributed solar energy provider, SirajPower, has inked an agreement with the region’s leading multinational retail conglomerate, Lulu Group, for a significant solar initiative aimed at achieving critical green milestones.

SirajPower will design, build, fully finance, operate, and maintain a 1MWp solar carport installation as well as four Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations for Lulu Group’s Dubai Silicon Central Hypermarket.

The solar carport project covers 7,209m2 and will produce 1.7GWh of clean energy annually, offsetting more than 1,205 metric tonnes of CO2 emissions, which is equivalent to nearly 20,000 tree seedlings grown for 10 years.

Lulu Group’s brand-new Silicon Central boasts a GLA of 78,500m2 of retail, F&B, cinemas, including a Lulu Hypermarket & department store spanning 16,800m2.
