SirajPower to provide solar installations on roofs of EPP buildings in Jafza – MEP MiddleEast

UAE-based solar energy provider, SirajPower has come to an agreement with packaging solutions provider Express Pack Print (EPP), which is part of the Express Group of companies, to develop solar rooftop installations across five EPP buildings in Dubai's Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza).

The solar rooftop project is expected to generate up to 1.6GWh of clean energy per year.

SirajPower will finance, construct, install, operate, and maintain the 940kWp solar rooftop plant.

The solar energy provider will also work with EPP to reduce the company's environmental impact and their electricity bills without upfront investment through the solar leasing agreement.

In addition to installing solar rooftop installations for EPP, SirajPower has also supported other companies in their shift to solar or clean energy in the recent past, including UAE-based manufacturers of carbon steel Electric Resistance Welded (ERW) pipes and tubes, K.D. Industries; Rex Dubai's cold store and warehouse in the Al Quoz Industrial area; and the Gulf Extrusions' facility, which is part of the Al Ghurair Group; among others.

In September 2020, SirajPower inked a deal with Kent College Dubai to install a solar rooftop plant and solar carport of 1.3MWp system capacity, generating 2.3GWh of annual energy production and displacing approximately 1,451.4 tons
