Egypt completes 433 development projects in Menoufia worth LE 3.8B

CAIRO - 6 June 2021: 433 development projects have been completed in Menoufia Governorate during fiscal years of 2018/2019 and 2019/2020, with a total investment cost of LE 3.8 billion, according to Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Hala El-Said. El-Said clarified that the completed projects are in six sectors: education, housing, transportation, irrigation, electricity, and local development. This came in the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development's tenth issue of the report "Following up the citizen in the governorates" during the years (18/2019 - 19/2020) for Menoufia Governorate, which includes an inventory of projects that were fully completed during the same period and linking them to the sustainable development goals. The report of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development indicated the completion of the implementation of 3 projects in the water resources and irrigation sector, at LE 21.6 million, including the replacement and renewal of the covered drainage networks for the third Birkat El-Sabaa area, the development of irrigation networks on the Atef Canal (Phase 4), and the replacement and renewal of covered drainage networks In the area (Zanarat II B).
