In pics: Sisi tours number of road projects in Cairo

CAIRO – 19 March 2021: Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al Sisi examined on Friday construction works related to Cairo road development network.

Presidential spokesman Bassam Rady said President Sisi toured a number of road projects, including the Shinzo Abe axis east of Cairo that links El-Shahid Axis with Suez Road and the Ring Road.

 

 

The axis, named after Japan's long-standing prime minister Abe upon Sisi directives, facilitates traffic in the eastern Cairo region as it links eastern districts with New Cairo and the New Administrative Capital.

The spokesman said the President was updated on the development works of Al Amal City.

 

During the tour, Sisi examined development works of Child Park in Nasr City and chatted with one of citizens there.

He was also briefed by officials on the progress rate of number of under-construction axes and roads, urging equipping all new road projects with services needed by drivers.

 

 

Last January, Sisi inspected, the pace of work at the Middle Ring Road as he praised ‘the achievement and dedication of the workers' despite the ‘exceptional circumstances and precautionary measures of coronavirus.'
